Wire Wrap 8 Piece Workshop (G)

Wire  wrapping and weaving is great way to start or add to your jewellery  making journey. Suitable for any skill level easy enough for beginners  but with something to interest those who have already had a go at wire  jewellery this is a great and full day class.  Lots of skills to be learned on this course.

The workshop lasts from 10am to 4:30pm and we will have a break for  lunch, please feel free to bring lunch from home as this is not provided  but tea and coffee making facilities are.  You can of course leave the  workshop for lunch I just ask that you return promptly so we can start  the afternoon session on time.

We start the day with a short description of the tools we will be using and any safety procedures.  Then we move onto the fun part,  ongoing demonstrations and help will guide you through at least five  rings, a pair of earrings, a pendant and finally a bangle. 

For those that have been befor you will see that the 8 piece workshop has been updated this year so even if you have been before the pieces have changed.

All materials will be provided for the items we will be making, we  will mainly use copper however some silver will be used, beads and focal  stones will be provided. 

It will be a very full day but an enjoyable one.  

The things we will be making 

5 Rings -  5 different rings with and without beads.  We will make at  least 5 rings and probably more most of the rings will be made from  copper wire.  Once everyone is comfortable with the sills involved,  everyone will be supplied with sufficient solid sterling silver wire to  create one ring in precious metal.

Vine Earrings - A little fiddly but worth it, made from solid sterling silver and enhanced with gemstone beads these are delicate and very attractive.

The Swarovski Leaf Pendant - This pendant is a a great way to start wire weaving but with elements of wrapping in there as well all with swarovski beads - what more could you want.  This pendant is created using copper but if you prefer to make in silver please let me know at least a week before the class to make the pendant in silver will carry an extra charge or €20.

Bangle - this is a copper and silver bangle, the main wires are copper and the beads are silver.  We will be using square wire to create this piece.
